Which is more powerful, friendship or true love?

In Rainbow Bottom, Indiana, Dannie Mcnoun (Daniel Jackson) traps animals, fishes, and loves the beauty of nature provided by God. He has also always loved Mary (Stephanie Skinner).

Fifteen years ago Dannie asked his best friend Jimmy Malone (Rodger Owsley, Jr.) to ask for Mary's hand in marriage in his name. Instead, she married Jimmy.

Dannie's cabin is still near the Malone cabin and Dannie is still a loyal friend. Jimmy's drinking problem is getting out of hand. When Jimmy becomes deathly ill, what will happen between Dannie and Mary?
